Wheel casing |
||||||||||||||||||||
The wheel casing is a notorious noise crack. Here there are a few problems for: Hole in the floor of the wheel casingIn the floor of the wheel casing there is a large hole through which pipes and cable pass through. The noise is transmitted through this hole from the engine room mainly straight into the wheel casing. Apart from this noise comes through gaps or straight through the wood in the wheel house. Morse-ControlA second problem that arises is the Morse-control. Gas is given by a morse cable. This is a massive still cable which is fixed to the engines gas handle. Vibration energy from the engine is transported via the massive steel cable to the wheels casing. There are two ways to avoid it.
