- Merford has long years of experience with sound cabins in different sectors; for example we built sound studios for the European Football Championship in the Netherlands and Belgium, and the EC in Portugal!
- We offer a large range of standard sizes. Nevertheless by paying extra, any size is possible.
- In order to save money you could choose to paint your studio yourself. The sound studio is sprayed in any desired RAL-colour for an extra fee.
- The complete studio is set up as floating , so the sound studio insulates noise even better
- Merfrom sound studios have special anti-drum panels which ensure an even better noise insulation and acoustics
- All panels are filled with Akotherm; an alternative to glass- and rockwool. Akotherm does not cause skin irritation is fibre-free and has a fixed form.
- Merford noise insulated doors have a RA (pop) of 37 dB(A) and are among the best in Europe.
- The door is comprised of a large window (width: 590mm, height 890mm). If an extra window is desired it can be made in the sound studio (width: 500mm, height 750mm)
- The sound studio is standard provisioned with a silent adjustable ventilation. So, you always have sufficient fresh air in your sound studio, without this affecting your recording
- The sound studio is standard provisioned with a panel for supply cables.

Merford sound studio is supplied with high mass panels of 75mm thickness as standard. These panels isolate much more than lighter panels. (See figure) In the case of lower frequencies the difference is obvious.

The total sound insulation of a Merford sound studio is between 30 en de 35 dB(A).

In addition to a large range of standard dimension for an extra fee, we can supply you with a made to measure studio. Bear in mind for optimal insulation all sides there must be a minimum gap of 10 cm (in relation to the partitions and/or ceiling). Above the ceiling there must be a gap of 10cm for assembly anyway.

Every sound studio can be extended with one or more options:
- You can provision the studio with an extra window with double glass. The studio is delivered unpainted as standard and it is easy to paint it in the colour of your choice.
- The studio can also be painted in a standard RAL colour of choice for an extra fee; the perfopanels are not painted. - - - For extra sound insulation (mostly for below) you can provision the sound studio with a noise insulated floor.

The costs for assembly are largely dependent on your place of residence and your residential situation.

Remember while making your choice that building a sound studio is a difficult job; panels weigh around 35kg and the door is 75kg.
