SonAir ensures permanent controlled ventilation by supplying fresh filtered outside air. SonAir is equipped with a high noise preventing properties, is silent and has excellent filtering properties.
SonAir is positioned on the inside of an outside wall. Unfiltered outside air is sucked in by a ventilator in the SonAir via a duct in the outside wall. The ventilator itself is located in sound absorbent packing, as a result of which the noise of the ventilator and the outside noise is kept to a minimum. Then air is blown in by means of a filter, with the result of a healthy, comfortable, low noise indoor climate. You yourself regulate the quantity of ventilation with the touch of a button on the top of the SonAir
Ventilation Capacity
The maximum ventilation-capacity of the SonAir is 225 m3/hour.
Types There are two types of SonAir: the A+ and the F+. The F+ exclusively conducts outdoor air: the A+ mixes outdoor and indoor air.
The SonAir F+ is sealed on the underside and so has the highest noise abatement. This is the best solution for high external noise conditions. The A+ has the advantage (particularly for the colder months) that the outdoor air can be warmed with the indoor air. The SonAir A+ is also very popular with allergy sufferers as it also filters the indoor air.
Noise Abatement The SonAir has a high level of noise abatement whereby outside noise does not penetrate inside. This is exactly the reason why we ourselves use the SonAir F+ in our sound studios and recording studios!!
Quiet as a whisper The SonAir ventilator produces virtually no noise at all and is as quiet as a whisper. The apparatus is more audible only on the higher ventilation settings.
All measurements of the SonAir have been conducted by the Peutz Acoustic Advice Bureau (test report no. A 1368-1).
Air purification The SonAir is equipped with an air filter. The G2-filter is applied under conditions of a normal dust burden. The G2-filter removes 50-70% of the particles of a size greater than 0.00001 m, which include pollen, spores, hairs, sand and textile fibres. The filter is easy to clean and must be replaced annually.
If desired the SonAir can be provisioned with a fine particle filter: the F6 fine particle filter. This filter removes 99% of particles larger than 0.00001 m and 95-99% of the particles greater than 0.000005 m, which include pollen, spores, hairs, sand, textile fibres, cement particles, and traces of dust mites. An ideal filter for people with heightened sensitivity to dust.

Installation SonAir is positioned directly on the inside of an external wall. There make first a hole of 100 mm with a round drill (can be hired from Boels – watch out for pipes and electrics). Remove all debris from the hole and clean it thoroughly (this prevents clogging of the apparatus). Then introduce a flexible pipe and position an Inno-damper in the tube (remove all plugs). ON the outside you assemble a grating on the flexible tube (and seal well to prevent clogging)
The SonAir has standard power cable of 1.80 m with a normal plug.
Attention: Ventilation works only as the added air is removed (for example via an outlet in the kitchen, bathroom and/or toilet). Ensure that under every door there is a gap of at least 1.5 cm for air evacuation, or ensure another means of air evacuation. In a sound studio you can best make a round though-hole and position two Inno-dampers therein to dampen the sound.
