Piano

Piano

A piano is a case of air and contact noise. The contact noise is strongly audible is surrounding spaces. This contact noise exists as the piano transfers vibrations via its legs to the floor and from the floor to the surrounding spaces. This noise is reduced simply by decoupling the piano from the floor, for example by putting rubbers under its legs.

When the rubber under the piano is an insufficient help, a ‘floating floor" can offer a help:

Floating floor

On the floor you lay loos plates Agglomer " Floating floor" Directly on this you lay 2 Multiplex layers which are mutually connected to each other (gluing and/or screwing). Pay attention that the Multiplex seams are mutually staggered.

The multiplex must not be in direct contact with the building floor and partition. So a contact bridge is inserted. The finished floor can be laid again over the Multiplex plates.

Room in a room

In buildings with thin/ light walls the air noise of piano plays a relative big role. Building a room in the room offers here a solution. An extensive description making a room in the room can be found under the heading "sound studio".
