Outside Noise |
||||||||||||||||
Outside noise comes into the residence through windows, gaps, ventilation openings and the roof/ dormer. All these four sources must be addressed in different ways. WindowsPut double glazing or sound proof glass if possible. Ensure that the windows close without gaps, for example, seal gaps with window tape. GapsSeal all gaps at windows and doors well: for example, with window tape. Every gap is a noise-crack. VentilationApply silent ventilation. The most commonly used method is the application of acoustic loafers. Click here to search google for acoustic loafers (when you search here you will undoubtedly see many more possibilities). Roof/DormerThe roof and/or the dormer have to be provided with floating pre-made partitions and a floating pre-made ceiling. Merfoflex is placed completely vibration free from the walls and ground. Here much higher noise insulation values are achieved than by the placing of a fixed pre-made partition.
