Operating

The profiles are in combination acoustic filling gathered together to make a complete package in the form of a pre-made wall or pre-made ceiling. You have only to add the plaster board yourself. First, the Merfoflex-guides are applied around the surface to be insulated (for partitions 600 mm and for ceilings 300 mm .). The profiles are fixed with clips, from which only the back frame is mechanically fixed onto the basic construction.

At a wooden joisting the Merfoflex-guides are screwed perpendicular against the beams. In this case the Merfoflex-guides are screwed into the beams via the back frame at both sides along the sides. The maximal tension bears 60 cm, for a longer distance a rachel must be mounted.

Akotherm is firmly applied in the space between the MD profiles

2 layers of plaster board with seam staggered and combined are applied against the Merfoflex-guides .
These plasterboards must not make contact with the walls; only with the merfoflex-guides.
The plasterboards can be further finished if desired . (seal gaps with kit seaming and/or plastering).

Attention points

At partitions the lying Merfoflex-guides and the first flooring are laid on a Agglomer strip of 10mm thickness.

The basic construction, against which the system is applied as a pre-set system, has to be a closed construction. The Merfoflex-guides are used only for inside applications. The load-bearing construction has to be calculated on the weight supported by the system. The products must be dry, stored and processed. The elements have in addition to the noise insulation also good thermal insulation. The manufacurer’s moderate gluing of the Agglomer core with the under and above frame is water resistant (class B3).
