Exhaust noise

There are two kinds of exhaust: a dry exhaust and a wet exhaust. Both types of exhausts should not make direct contact with the boat. If there is direct contact the exhaust will largely transmit the vibrations to the hull and the rest of the boat.

This is a critical point for a dry exhaust; this vibrates more than a wet exhaust (which at the same time is made of rubber and therefore it receives even more vibrations).

With the help of special heat resistance vibration dampers you can suspend the exhaust "floated". You cannot buy these vibration dampers in an acoustic store, but they are available in specialised boat shops.

Pay attention that the exhaust is provisioned with a good damper and that it still functions properly.
