Engine Noise |
||||||||||||||||
In order to stop the engine noise the motor cap must be treated with sound absorbing material like Acusticab. This product is moisture- and oil- proof, sufficiently heat resistant and easy to mount. However you must consider the space available (therefore ensuring that Acusticab does not come in contact with the exhaust manifold).
BulkheadYou can further reduce the engine noise by sticking isolation material on the Bulkhead in combination with absorption. You can use Vibraflex Extreme for insulation. You can once again use Acusticab for absorption.Engine in the CarIn some cases the engine is to be found not in the front or back but in the car. This is for example the case with the Peugeot J7 and Mercedes 508. For the reduction of the noise problem of such engines the connection of the bonnet is very important. This must be completely seamless and as taut as possible (with for example the compression fittings) connected on to the floor pan. The under side of the bonnet can be coated with noise absorbing material such as Acousticab.You can cover the whole outside of the box with( X) It is important that the plates are well connected to each other.
