Soundstone baffles are absorbent elements which are mainly used for the ceiling. The baffle consists of a mineral woolplate (provisioned with a white glass coating) that is clamped from all four sides in a steel frame (lacquered white or zinc-coated).
These baffles are suitable for spaces with bad acoustics where too much reverberation occurs.
Assembly The baffles can be mounted both horizontally and vertically on the roof. The advantage of vertical hanging is to bring relative high absorption in a small area. With low ceilings (<300 cm) we recommend horizontal mounting of the buffers.
Under this page you see an example of a vertical and horizontal suspension
Suspension occurs by vertical assembly with ceiling hangers (2 pieces per baffle). These ceiling hangers are to be set up at a hanging height of between 100 en 200 mm. and they hang from the ceiling in an eyescrew (not included)
For horizontal assembly we supply steel profiles which are fixed to the ceiling with two screws. After assembly the baffles are suspended 5cm distant from the ceiling. Each baffle needs two steel profiles.
Assortment We have baffles in 4 different colours in our assortment, namely white, nightblue, silver and orchid. All these baffles have zinc coated frames. Furthermore we have a white baffle with a white lacquered frame.
